Hi Shador, could your upload it to a site like 4shared? If you don't have a file sharing site account then PM me and I would be happy to add it to mine.

So anyone here went to the Zone Visit meeting?
by stillin9 inwell, i was considered spiritual enough (lol) to be given a red badge that said "special meeting, united states branch zone visit" on it!
what a privilege!
all excited, i counted down (not really but you know) to the day the meeting was going to be held on, which was the 22nd.

I would definitely be interested in this and would be more than willing to chip in, if we can find out how much money is involved.

Sitting Still at Meetings has Become an Impossibility
by venusinfauxfurs insince i know the truth about jw, and still have to go to meetings for family reasons (and because i don't want to leave my friends, either) i get so sick in my chair in the hall.
i can't pay attention, i can't sit still knowing it's all such a waste of time and a big fat lie.
i get weird symptoms like: the feeling that i'm going to almost pass out, very sweaty or very cold, and weak legs though i'm sitting down, and the urge to get up and run away.

Cognitive dissonance. The act of sitting in the Kingdom hall whilst knowing it is bullshit is not compatible. Your mind needs you to either:
- Change your beliefs to be in harmony with your actions (i.e. become a believer again), or
- Change your behaviour to be consistent with your beliefs by not going to the kingdom hall.

Announcement Letter of Russell's Death
by startingover ini found this original letter in my families archives.
don't know why the second page is discolored but it's original.. it's interesting the mention of the toga on the second page, and that they called the magazine "the tower".

Need your suggestions
by angel.face inhey guys,.
hoping to get your input.. i had a conversation with my dh recently and i asked him what would need to happen for him to question his belief system.
he said that something unscripted needs to be taught by the society.. now there are many things i can bring up...i have heard you suggest not to argue with doctrine...but he is asking for it.

A couple of things spring to mind that I was quite surprised to find were at odds with the bible:
1. The WT teaches that Jesus is mediator for the 144,000 only and not the great crowd http://www.jwfacts.com/watchtower/mediator.php
2. The WT teaches that the great crowd is on earth when the bible clearly states they are 'in heaven'. http://www.jwfacts.com/watchtower/great-crowd-other-sheep.php
3. The biggest one of all is that the bible never mentions an 'organization' http://www.jwfacts.com/watchtower/organization.php; once my husband read Captives of a Concept by Don Cameron http://www.captivesofaconcept.com/ this really hit home with him.

Yes, I really did when I first joined and for a while after. Quite a few people know my real identity now although I wouldn't want to make that link for all to see, partly because I have a lot of JW family and partly because I wouldn't want anyone googling my name to find everything I have posted here. Some parts of your online life are better anonymous for professional reasons too.

"we don't need holidays as an excuse to give gifts to our children"

I was raised in the lie and I think maybe had one wrapped present in my whole childhood. I don't think that in itself is necessarily damaging to a child but the hypocrisy of hearing your parents pushing the "we don't need a special day to give presents" line is. I remember being on the field service once and the householder bent down and asked me (I was a child) if I felt that I missed out because of not having christmas and birthdays. My mum was glaring at me and I knew what to say: "oh no, we get presents at other times". But that was a lie.
Do you know what really sucked? As we got older, we used to buy anniversary presents for our parents but they never bought us presents. Kind of the wrong way around, don't you think?

RIP innocent children. If there's any justice in this world, the governing body will be held to account for their murderous teachings.
